Parnell Joinery, Cladding & Roof Replacement

A Parnell home brought back to weathertight condition: rotten timber joinery replaced with new units, weatherboards replaced like-for-like, and a new roof including insulation and underlay.

The Project

Bringing an Older Parnell Home Back

This Parnell home had reached the point where its exterior could no longer be maintained. The original timber joinery had perished badly, with putty failing and sills rotting through, and the weatherboards had weathered well past the point of a repaint.

AGJ Construction carried out a full exterior replacement. The old joinery was removed and replaced with new units, matched like-for-like so the home kept its original character. The weatherboards were replaced on the same basis, profile for profile, and the whole exterior was prepped and repainted.

The roof was replaced at the same time, including new insulation and underlay beneath the new corrugated roofing. Together the new joinery, cladding and roof bring the home back to a weathertight, low-maintenance condition that will hold up for decades.

The Transformation

Before & After

The difference is stark. Joinery rotted through the frames with paint flaking away, replaced with new units and fresh weatherboards that restore the home's original lines.

  • Weathered weatherboards replaced on the same basis, profile for profile
  • New roof installed with new insulation and underlay beneath

  • Safe roof access and edge protection maintained throughout the build
  • Single point of contact through the full project, from quote to handover
